2024-04 ~ 2024-07 Design of adaptive path tracking system based on genetic algorithm optimisation @Course Principles of Automated Control
In this study, we address the problem of PID controller parameter tuning for path tracking tasks and explore the use of genetic algorithms to automatically optimise the PID parameters with a combination of low-pass filters and Kalman filters to reduce noise interference, and MRAC architecture combined with an Adam optimiser to achieve dynamic tuning. The experimental results confirm the superior performance of the design in different environments.
2024-04 ~ 2024-06 Reinforcement Learning in Iterative Prisoner's Dilemma @Course Game Theory
This study explores an iterative Prisoner's Dilemma algorithm based on Reinforcement Learning, focusing on learning and prediction of adversary behaviours, applying Q-Learning algorithms to optimise the prediction of adversary's strategies and maximise self-interests. The results show that Q-Learning is superior in predicting adversary actions and maximising benefits.
2024-03 ~2024-05 Fruit detection model fine-tuning and application @Course Principles of Artificial Intelligence
This project uses YOLOv8 model for fruit detection. Fruit images are collected from websites like Google Images and labelled with LabelImg. The model was trained using the Kaggle dataset and optimised with an extended dataset labelled manually. In the validation phase, YOLO's own method is used to calculate Precision, Recall, mAP and other indicators, and IoU calculation functions are written. The front-end interface allows users to upload images for fruit recognition.

A generative dialogue agent that proactively provides adaptive peer support was developed in this study. Unlike traditional peer-supported dialogue agents (CAs), ComPeer uses a large-scale language model to detect key events in a dialogue and proactively plan the timing and content of care.
